Hip Hop is a culture with four elements: dance, graffiti, MCing and Deejaying. Rap is a product of Hip Hop culture. In the late 1980s and early 1990s rap emerged in the United States and spread around the world. Many of us grew up listening to Vico C, Big Boy and Mellow Man, the Godfather of Latin Rap. Rock Latino Alternativo Houston wanted to take a look at the rap music created in the past three years. We have included a diverse list of male, female rapers and indigenous rap. Our list is not designed in order of importance.
